1/2 done... the hard half

The new router is in and working... that actually turned out to be the easy part. I got all the cables untangled and restrung and labeled!

The webcam - the only thing with an assigned IP address refused to give it up. I mean refused. You talk about hating change... that thing is the dictionary picture of hating change. It wouldn't even reset to factory default. Finally, finally, after much discussion, the promise of a long and happy life and a shiny new IP address to call its own, It gave up the old one.

Then lunch was ready. I still have to actually give the thing its IP and then get it ported and set up (the url won't change and you will still be able to get it from http://www.susandennis.com/webcam.htm).

I stopped to make a quiche and discovered that my half and half had totally passed its prime. Ugh. So I made an egg pie - eggs and sour cream and quiche goodies and it came out pretty darned good.

So... I'll finish lunch, finish the network, clean up everything and then... I need to make a Costco run. I need more of those cheese cracker/crack. It's a nice day off so far!
