This turned out to be a longer day that I was actually ready for. Mainly because I had to start at 5:45 and I normally have Fridays off. But, I'm actually at the end of my work day so all is better now and it was only a long day, not a difficult or stressful one.

I finally got notice from Amazon today that they are in receipt of the gynormous TV I returned to them. This means that probably tomorrow, my credit card will get a nice little influx of cash. Since all the bills are in now, the credit will be just a hair more than the balance which is fine - way more fine than having a gynormous credit on the account for a month. That would not be fatal but still happy not to have it.

I finally got a nice, smallish, containable, usb speaker for this laptop. It's an Acer and its own speakers are not loud enough to hear anything. I've tried various work around but this speaker, I can put behind my chair, hear it find, and unplug it when I need to go somewhere with the laptop. It's so loud I have to keep the volume at half mast.

This morning I decided it was time for tunes so I looked on my TV to see if there was a Pandora widget which there is and, turns out there is! But inputing email address and password was tedious and I missed the first time and then realized... doh! I can use the laptop! It had not been an option before because of the sound issues.

So, I've been enjoying Pandora all day. I even forked over for the paid version. I do wish the website and desktop widget had not sold their sold to Adobe but, I can deal, I guess.

Scott the building manager said I could have a parking place in the main garage for Chef Anita. There are two units that are in foreclosure - they are actually owned by banks who aren't putting them up for sale yet. They each have a prime parking spaces. Nice.

In making said arrangements, however, I also found out that Scott has an exit plan. He's long talked about moving to a warm island and now has his sights on Tonga. He hurt is back in a car wreck I think and told me today that 'when this lawsuit over my back is settled, I'll have enough money to move to Tonga and take that job I want...'

I hate to lose him. He's really got a handle on this building and its whacky residents.

The guy who owns the unit that shares my south wall moved to Arizona with her girlfriend last Summer. He's in town this weekend for a rare visit and says he's not going to put the unit on the market any time soon. The couple with whom I share my north wall run an insurance business out of there during the day and rarely sleep there. The couple above me moved out a couple of months and are asking way too much so it will be while before it sells.

I'm an island and I love it. Party hearty!

I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I have lots of TV stacked up that needs watching and, of course, bears to knit. I'm thinking tomorrow morning's exercise is walking to the new/old Denny's. It's a mile and a half from here. It used to be a Denny's then it got un-Denny'd and was, for a while, 4th Ave Diner. I noticed the other day that it has been re-Denny'd so I think I'll walk over and check it out and then walk home.

---

I'm having a mustgo dinner. My brother (who is an excellent cook) makes mustgo soup as in everything in the freezer must go and a soup is a great place to use it all up! I'm cleaning out my freezer. So there's a sausage link and a clam cake and some french fries and french cut green beans.

---

Happy weekend!!
