susandennisNice walk and very nice breakfast. The new re-Denny'd Denny's has a fresh coat of paint and new furniture and new menus but the same staff - an energetic and very friendly bunch. My breakfast was better than usual for that place so maybe they have a new kitchen staff. That option is back on the weekend list, happily.
The sky looked ominous and the wind was whipping as I left but it was blowing on my back so not so much a problem and it was only spitting a little rain. I stopped at the Grocery Outlet on the way home. (Dude, dude, dude... I love Grocery Outlet but is it the best place to shop for Valentines Day??? You've got time to do better. Really.)
I took a little detour to walk by the baseball stadium to see what prep they were doing for the season - nothing I could see. The players photos are all still last year. Spring Training starts this week. Maybe they forgot to check their calendar.
I also got a good look at the new off ramp for the viaduct they are messing with. The whole project is going to be making a giant migraine out of traffic around my neighborhood for about the next four years. I finally figured out what this phase is doing.
As I left Denny's I stuck in my earplugs and started up Pandora. It was not getting it for me and then I had a brainstorm. I created a station for John Phillip Sousa! Perfect!! I marched all the way home.
Now I'm doing laundry and soon there will be bear knitting. A very nice Saturday, thank you!
