susandennisI looked at the clock when I stuck the Windows 7 Ultimate DVD into the drawer. It was noon. As I type this it is 7 and I'm about 75% back to the state I was at 11:55. Whew. Getting the machine joined up to the domain and shaking hands with the right security bits is a tricky choreography. Happily, the boss's expert was on hand and willing to help. I would have been dead in the water without him.
I did take time out to eat Chef Anita's dinner which was delicious. Oh so delicious.
Outlook is now downloading the address book which is probably not necessary but what the heck. I'm done for the evening. Tomorrow is a mix of work stuff and stuff like Mozy - I'm guessing it will take most of the day to get it all correctly set up. I'm grateful that I have the time now to do it without the pressure of having to be doing production work at the same time.
It is nice to have a squeaky clean, bloatware-free machine.
Travis is making me pay for leaving him with only Betty for amusement this afternoon.
Now I'm going to send Anita a thank you note and spend the rest of the evening knitting and watching junk tv.
