Rain you can hear

susandennisI love love love my condo and my neighborhood. It has only two flaws. One is The Tree That I Hate. But, the other is that you can't hear the rain. I'm four stories up - too far to hear it land on the sidewalk. The ceiling is too thick to hear it land on the patio above my living room.
I love hearing rain. My bedroom radio has a rain function and I have several rain mp3's. I love hearing rain.
Every once in a while - like once a year maybe - we get a squall through that makes enough hard rain for me to hear. We are having one as I type this and it's wonderful. I can even hear it with the terrace door closed.
