This is a new yarn. Great color, sucky yarn. It's not terribly soft but mainly, there isn't enough give in it. It's hard on the fingers to knit with. I got a bunch of skeins of it (from Michaels or JoAnne's, I can't remember which). The color is the differentiator. The variegated yarn next to it in the basket is the same stuff but way softer and easier to knit with.
