The bed of luxury

susandennisI am usually such a good sleeper. I don't nap. But, from the time I crawl into bed at night until the radio goes off in the morning, I'm a top performer. Even waking up in the night to pee gives me a chance to go to sleep again and I do, expertly.
One night this week, my head kept me from sleeping well for an entire night. It only takes one night to remind me over and over again how great sleeping can and should be.
Last night was just a perfect night. Chilly enough for snuggling under the duvet. Betty asleep on one of my shoulders and Travis snuggled in on the other. It was coupled with no reason to have to pop out of bed this morning. A perfect non-storm.
The Saturday morning news programming on NPR is now repeating so I think I'll get up. My plan for this morning is to be at Costco when it opens. I need toilet paper. And kitty litter. Then home to watch the Mariners fuck up yet another great game (this will be the third in a row...). I may do a little work work while the game is on, in order to get some hours in the bank for the week.
My head continues to improve but I am still a couple of days away from the only complaint left being the stitches itching.
