So my new cellphone has all these internet features. Some of them I can't get to because their website is screwed up and won't let me assign a new password. A call earlier this week netted me the information that I was SOL until their update on Sunday was completed - probably Monday morning. But, I was reading in a newsgroup that some have found a tricky way around the problem. I gave it a go with a little swizzle of my own and managed to totally lock myself out of all the functions except for calling out and receiving calls - the basics which, fortunately, I still have. Another call to customer service confirmed that I was screwed until they fixed the website.

Then I got a note that I had been unsubscribed from a mailing list. Now I've been on this list for nearly 8 years. I was a charter member. It has grown substantially to about 6,000 members and so has a lot of rules now. I don't think I broke any but the note said I had been unsubscribed. I went to the list's website and sure enough it had no idea who I was. Fortunately, I have the email address of the current list administrator so I dropped her a not appologizing for whatever it is I did wrong and begging to be let back in.

This baseball strike thing has me really cranky. Plus the Yankees are currently beating them which is very annoying.

On the upside, I did finally get the Google toolbar back on my Mom's browser. When her grandchildren were there, they managed to screw up a bunch of stuff and I had gotten most of it fixed but couldn't get the Google toolbar back to save my life. Finally figured it out tonight.

I'm thinking this is the turning point. The rest of the weekend will be hassle free???

It is?

*blinkblinks* Actually, my birthday's in January. Is the system saying it's tomorrow? (I don't actually have it set here....)

*confused*

Hee. No worries - and thanks for the thought, even if the timing was off. :) I do try not to have the after-hours cell on the actual day, tho. Eee. :)

eeeeee yai yai yai. Susan has gotten booted from a list! What did you do? DISH woman!

Seriously hope it gets straightened out soon.

If you are like me, I find that for every stride I make concerning technology, a glitch comes along with another.

But I am proud to report that last week I finally FIXED my pay pal problem!

hassle-free???? hahahahahaha. This is only the beginning.

I'm having my own small setbacks. Like my livejournal client, which keeps telling me I have bad cookies and I have to log out and log in again. And when I do that, I still get the same message, can't get to my friends through the client. Irritating. BAD cookies. Well, it doesn't say exactly that, but close.

I love the problem with the cell phone. This is so much what would have happened to me. In some ways we are the same person.
