I'm sorry, Boston fans, I know you want a sweep but I deserve more than 4 World Series games. Really. My baseball has sucked enough this year. I'm all for you winning, don't get me wrong, but can we just stretch it out a wee bit? 5 games? Maybe 6? Please?

And from Mom this morning:

"Did you see that poor outfielder last night when he fell? It hurts me to even remember it. The announcers said he already had back trouble. And, at least on my TV, he fell THREE times on the same side of his ass. I'll bet he remembers it this morning."

We have tickets to game 7. I most earnestly hope we don't get to use them.

By all accounts, Trot Nixon is fine this morning. He jammed his hand when he fell, but no lasting damage was done.

Oh, and this is supposedly the field with the best drainage in the major leagues.

Yeah, I do get that asking for 7 games is not reasonable. But getting stuck with only 4 seems a little skimpy.

I am glad to hear that Trot's ass is ok. I'm with Mom, falling that first time was painful enough but 3 times must have been a killer and that field has the best drainage??? I'm thinking they should seriously consider a roof.

Mom says it looks like a rainout tonight.

Scott Rolen says right field is always a swamp when it rains like this. I'm not sure what he's doing out there, but I'll take his word for it.

Amen, Sister Friend. I think more than 4 games is only appropriate. Especially since St. Louis is a MUCH BETTER TEAM than they are playing right now. I mean, are they that afraid of beating the BoSox?
