It's 11 am an the kitchen is clean. The bathroom cabinet and the little cupboard I use for a medicine cabinet have been cleaned out and reorganized totally.
If you are at my house and want one of the following, you are SOL:
Tampax
Milk of Magnesia exp 2006
Pepto Bismal exp 2009
Cough syrup exp 1999
A giant pile of pills, capsules and tablets in unmarked bottles - no clue what they were
Some pills a dentist I went to in 1994 prescribed for me - again, no clue
(yes, all medicines went into a special bag for tossing out next time I'm at the drug store)
I filled a Goodwill bag and two trash bags. I tossed out about 4 million tiny tubes each holding a drop of cream, shampoo, toothpaste, ointment, or whatever. I kept both the green and blue spray on hair dye. I kept a hair dryer and non-electric curlers and two sets of electric curlers even though none of that has come near my hair in more than 5 years. I don't know why it didn't all go into the Goodwill bag. I guess it just wasn't the time yet,
I kept the Major League Baseball bandaids.
And the big reward of the day. A post it note in my Mother's handwriting that I found on the bathroom mirror when I came back from the airport after dropping her off one time:
"Stand up straight and be nice to the cleaning lady"
Words to live by. And I put that post it into a frame and onto the shelf so I don't forget.
(She died in March of 2005 - and last visited here probably in 2002 which will give you yet another idea of the last time I cleaned under that sink!)
