The bystanders
Jun. 27th, 2011 07:25 amI started out watching the parade sitting down on the blanket that
machupicchu brought and then when then as the parade progressed and the crowd around us tightened, I felt like standing up would unfairly block the people behind me so I spent the rest of the parade sitting or on my knees (which with my bad knee was not that good an option). At one point, some dude shoved his way in through the crowd and nearly stepped on me. His kneed was at my eye level. I looked up and told him to stand back and he ignore me so I just whacked his shin with my arm until he left. The two guys standing beside me graciously thanked me. Towards the end, another guy butted in blocking my view and I had to send him packing as well. Don't fuck with my view of the parade, people!
Sitting was ok but my view was between the bars of the baracade. I was more than a little startled when
ctseawa popped out of the parade and took my picture! But Matthew was Mr. Cool in his I heart NY t-shirt.
