Is it only Wednesday??
Jul. 6th, 2011 12:06 pmYesterday I was shocked all day that it was Tuesday and not Monday but today, I'm thinking this is the longest week ever. I think the heat has fried my few remaining brain cells.
I enjoy a salad now and again but come hot weather, I am Salad Girl. Between what I had on hand and what Chef Anita left yesterday, I put together a chef salad for lunch. But I used a bowl that was too big so I made WAY too much... or so I thought. But now, at the last two bites, I realize that it wasn't too big and it was too good. Yum.
I have some pretty boring work work this afternoon BUT I also have the Mariner game as background music so excellent.
I got a post card from Ann and Ron in Italy. They are always so good about post cards. This one says that I should not look for an email because their are long lines at the 'internet places'. When Julie and Scott were in San Francisco they were surprised to find so few internet cafes. I, on the other hand, was so surprised that anyone - short of Ann and Ron - would travel with neither a computer or a smartphone!
Julie is a shopper and Scott is not. She can 'have a wee wander about the shops' for hours - especially if he's otherwise occupied. Armed with their new netbook, when they got to Canada, I gathered he hopped from Starbucks to Starbucks while she shopped. THE perfect vacation for both of them.
Ok, now it's time for me to get back to work. I'm going now. I am. Really.
