Old white people on da bus

susandennisMy neighbor Ann just came in for email help. She had the list of email addresses of everyone they went to Italy with. She wanted to send a note to the entire list. Except one person. So I set up the email for her. In doing so, I had to read off the list so she could check it against her paper copy.
Tom, Deb, Carol, Phil, Tim, Ann, Ron, Jack... There were about 20 people on the list and I had never seen a list that was so clearly all white and all old before in my life. Not a Jennifer or a Jason or a Shinequa or Tyler to be found.
It cracked me up. When I pointed this out, she said 'oh but we had a gay!!'. Now, there's a guy who must have had a heck of a fabulous time.

In other news, I finally got the bill for my head surgery that was done on May 11. No way to pay by phone or online or electronically. My options, write a check (write out a physical check) or write in the numbers of my credit card and snail mail it back to them. Holy crap. No wonder the health care industry is financial woes.
