When I had this condo madeover in 2005, I suggested this funky paint treatment for the bathroom. I'd seen it in one of the my neighbor's units and I thought it looked cool. In their unit, it looked kind of like leather. It was a Ralph Lauren paint, I think. It never looked like leather in my bathroom. It didn't look bad, it just looked blah.

But, over the years, it has developed white spots. At first I thought I was flicking toothpaste. The white spots disappear when wet and come back when dry and they drive me crazy.

So it's time to repaint. I had this idea about six months ago but couldn't figure out a good color. I think I have the color selected and now I need a painter. I went to our building manager who gave me the name of his handy man. I called his handy man and so far he's never returned my call.

All the while, I'm wishing I knew how to contact the woman who did the original painting... She was nice and fun and knew what she was doing. She painted all the walls and also did the artwork in the fishroom. Oh, wait, she has a website! And I have a link to it.. from my makeover pages!

So I sent her an email and asked her if she was still painting and if so would she be interested in painting my bathroom. Yes! and Yes!!

She's coming over tomorrow to check it out, get a quote, get a deposit for paint and then she'll be back on Tuesday to do the deed!! Yahoooo!!!!!

Tomorrow she'll be bringing her 5 year old daughter. When she did the initial work here, that now 5 year old was -4 months old and still in her belly.

I'm actually thinking a kind of blue-ish purple. (It's now a cross between pumpkin and sand.) But, one thing I remember about Dinah is that she knows colors so I'm going to lean on her for color advice. I'm very excited.
