I was eating breakfast and looked up to see a lump in the very middle of the rug and Jake poking the lump with his paw. The lump moved just enough to tell him he was on the right track. He'd poke and Betty The Lump would move enough to tease him and then stop. It's hard to eat while laughing. Betty finally poked her head out of the edge of the rug and chased Jake up and down the hallway for a while. I don't know where she is right now but he's on top of the rug in the middle - on duty, as it were. If any more lumps move, he's all over them.

So every morning I wake up to NPR - Morning Edition, Weekend Edition Saturday or Weekend Edition Sunday. This morning there was a totally new sound. I figured I was still asleep and dreaming. But, I woke up again and it was still there. It was the BBC Radio. I listened for a while but it was too strange for first thing in the morning so I flipped to the other NPR station (we are so lucky to have 2) and there was Lean Hansen and Sunday morning was back in order. About 30 minutes later I checked and BBC was still going on the first station. About an hour later, it was Weekend Edition Sunday. Wonder why NPR is screwing with me on Sunday morning? I got no probably with BBC, but routine is routine and should not be fucked with.

Summer televisoin pretty much sucks. There have been a couple of interesting things pop up, a new lawyer show on Lifetime and Monk. And one the cable channels is finally running Breaking News but it's only for 13 episodes - it was made several years ago and there ain't no more but it is excellent. Otherwise, just suction. Normally, this is not so much a problem because I have a baseball game to watch nearly every day. But, I'm pretty sure this strike thing is real and the baseball will go away in two weeks. This will leave a month until the new shows start that is going to be awful. I may have to reactivate my Netflix account. I dropped it because their shipping schedule was just too slow - they were taking two weeks to get me my next movie. They have since opened a warehouse here in Seattle so maybe that will help. However the warehouse they were using was in northern California and that should have taken about two days, not two weeks. But, hey, I gotta have something to watch. Godforbid I have to get off my butt and go do something.

Love the new color scheme!

Cats make things so much fun. Am glad you have two. Twice the fun, eh?
