I worked later yesterday and got up early today and hit zero bugs at 10 am. I could ask for more work and likely would get some, maybe lots, but I need a me day and so I'm taking one. If stuff to do comes in, I'll do it, but if not...

I'm eating lunch now - ham and swiss and cucumber sandwich. With chips.

After that, I plan to tidy up the kitchen and organize the fridge and freezer. I need to make a small grocery run sometime and so I need to take inventory. Since Chef Anita, I rarely ever do this. I just eat what she puts in there. Time for a little maintenance. Then, maybe I'll tidy up this desk area.

At some point, I might well watch another episode of Big Love. I'm working my way through their final season. I still have about 7 episodes left. It's just nice to have a day.

I do wish the glasses place would call about my new glasses. The previous times, they said two weeks and called in one. This time they said two weeks and tomorrow is two weeks. If I don't hear before, I'm calling to jerk their chain this afternoon.

My neighbor, Ron, is going in for crack your chest heart surgery next week. He has seemed very old and frail to me for the past several years but just keeps truckin' along. Ann, his wife, it turns out has a major panic attack last weekend because of it. Actually, at the time, since she'd never had one before, she didn't know what it was. They went to the emergency room and after a shit load of tests that turned up nothing, apparently Ron asked 'so I'm having some big deal heart surgery next week, think maybe it might have something to do with that?' Bingo says the docs.

Her main panic - she tells me - is the computer. She does not know anything about it. Ron does all the household computing. So this week he's giving her computer lessons. I told her to just make sure she has all his passwords. I think it's fairly deeper than that. They have been married forever and it's just been the two of them for the past two decades. I think she's zeroing in on the holes that will be gaping when he's gone. I also think it's probably pretty healthy for her to that now to have some kind of foundation when it happens.

I do feel for the both of them. Ick on the surgery. Ick on the stress.

Oh, just saw the post office package delivery lady on Front Door TV Network. I'm expecting a snail package so I think I'll just wander on down to the package storage bin and check!
