4:45 - my phone rings and it's Ann
Ann: I got a Nook for an early birthday present!! But it needs Wi Fi (pronounced as two different words). How do I get that?
Me: You don't have wifi - your internet is wired. Wifi is wireless.
Ann: How do we get wifi?
Me: Well, you need a wireless router.
Ann: [to Ron] We have to go to Office Depot and get a router.
Ron: A what?
Ann: Here you talk to him
Ron: I had a links is that a router? But, I gave it to Charlie (their son).
It went downhill from there. I showed them how to latch onto their neighbor's free network. Ann actually grasp the OTA concept and range better that Ron. I think they will be fine without the links.
Their son has a wireless network and their daughter in law has a Nook and they live 20 minutes from here. If they get stuck, they have resources.
Arugh. I do think that once she gets it going, she'll like her Nook a lot.
