Adventure in the city
Aug. 13th, 2011 03:26 pmAnyone looking for a messing Boston Redsox fan should turn their gaze to downtown Seattle. There are all there. All of them. Well, except the ones who are down here in Pioneer Square. There certainly can not be any left in Boston.
Last night's giveaway at the game was a distinctive t-shirt designed by Ichiro. Today the costume de downtown was the Ichiro t-shirt and a Redsox ball cap. I must say that it is strange to watch a baseball game being played here in Seattle and have a very full stadium loudly supporting the visiting team. Heck, it's pretty strange to watch a game being played here in Seattle and have a full stadium!
I went to see The Hour. It was good. I had no interest in reading the book because of the subject matter. I grew up there and then, I didn't want to go back - it's embarrassing. But finally I got tired of hearing about it and decided I could handle the movie. I'm sure the book was way better but I enjoyed the movie. It rang very true.
Plus it was only $6. In the nice, clean, classy movie theater. Plus, as I was leaving it dawned on me that there are at least 2 movies coming up soon, in that theater that I want to see. Nice.
Then I went to Blue C Sushi. I think I'm done there for a while. It's nice and so fast and you can get a little or a lot so easily but their offerings don'e change and I'm getting burned out.
The sun never really came out so it was still nice and cool when I left Blue C and I decided to walk home instead of catching the bus. Now I'm home. All is good.
