susandennisThe Starbucks headquarters is revamping their employee restaurant so they have food trucks lined up on their pedestrian concourse. It's very cool. I've known about it for a while but never been. Today, I went.
They had 3 different trucks - an Hawaiian one, a Mexican one and a burger one. The Hawaiian one had a line. The burger one didn't grab me so I got Mexican. A Barrigone from Barriga Llena. It was a huge meat sandwich what was not very good.
There was also a produce vendor who had some promising tomatoes so I got two for sandwiches. I know I'll be disappointed. I want tomatoes from southern New Jersey or piedmont North Caroina or anywhere in South Carolina. I always hope northwest tomatoes will come close and they don't but hope spring eternal.
There was also a flower vendor there who had beautiful flowers. I have a fresh bunch here now so I didn't get any but he says he's there every Friday from 9 to 2 - I will remember!
When I got back, I turned off the car and it beeped at me and wouldn't stop. I don't speak Smart yet so I don't have a clue what it wanted. I put the key back in and turned it on and then off and the beeping stopped. I hope it's ok. I'll check later.
The coin slots are simple slots and there are only 4, not 5. They don't push down or anything. Weird.
And, finally, I hate seat belts. The one across my chest cuts my throat. Is that because my boobs aren't big enough? Surely not. Lots of people - like many men, for instance - have smaller boobs than me. I cannot imagine getting used to it rubbing on my neck. pfff.
Time to get back to work.
