Nice Monday
Sep. 5th, 2011 12:15 pmI did go back to the Rusty Pelican and I am very glad I did. My meal was even better this morning and the service was every bit as excellent as yesterday. The bloody mary, while truly beautiful, was just ok which is ok. I know where to get a perfect bloody mary if I want it. Everything else at this place is just spot on.
After breakfast, I did walk around several blocks and discovered that it is right by Seattle Tilth where my boss used to have his summer picnics (hmmm, it just dawned on me that we did not have one this year..). He lived a couple of blocks from there (since moved). The neighborhood is just the greatest for walking around so I did.
Then on to Fred Meyer where I needed to pick up 2 things. Got them and got out easily. Then on to home.
I believe it has been several days since I have mentioned here how much I love my car. I love my car. Whenever I am out and go back to it, my first thought when I see it is 'oh what a cute car!' It's a delight every time to realize it is mine. And I do love driving it. It's as fun inside as out.
I did run into the first thing broken, though. My little drawer (that replaced the CD player in the earlier models) is one of those where you push it in and then push again and it snaps out. Only now when you push again, it does not snap out. I had to pry it out with a screwdriver. I have to go back to the dealer in the next week or so to get my new license plates so I'll get them to that then.
The baseball game is not until this evening so I have the afternoon to do some Tivo cleanup - along with bear knitting. Nothing else on the agenda. Work all caught up and no one needs me for anything. Nice.
