susandennisI officially canceled my gym membership today. I sent an email to Marci and to Tija. Tija was gracious (Marci does not check email that often). Fish b us.
After the pool class today, I ran errands. Lots of errands. All over. Post office, two drug stores, library, etc.
My new car, in addition to excruciatingly adorable and major fun to drive, it's opened up a new Seattle to me. All the years I've lived in Seattle I've had a car. Some of those years, I drove back and forth to work. The other driving I did was destination driving that was always a pain in the ass and don't even get me started on parking.
But now driving is fun. The destination, most of the time, is secondary. And parking is easy peasy most of the time. Last Saturday, I had![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
machupicchu with me and we had a devil of a time finding a spot but that was only because I insisted on finding one in the shade. And the one we finally got was smart car sized.
I noticed when I got out at one of my spots that the car was showing a little smudge here and there. So the last stop was the car wash. Pricey, but it shines now. I need to take the vacuum down there and suck out the carpet. I need floor mats, I think, that I can just shake out. Actually, I just interrupted this entry to by a set.
It was also nice to have the leisure to just get everything done I wanted to do before I had to come home or be any place. I just got an email that tomorrow will also be work free. While that does not enhance the paycheck, it isn't too bad for the spirit.
Now I need to get some chores done.
I put bowls of vinegar around to absorb cooking smells. Great idea and it might have even worked but now when you first come in the house, you get this giant whiff of vinegar... er ah not what I planned.
Someone left an comment when I mentioned it in an earlier entry that I should try an odor remover. I could not find the one named in the comments but I did find one that got lots of good reviews. So I ordered it and it arrived today. I need to dump out the vinegar and try this one more time.
