It just keeps getting better

susandennisToday's class was the same as last Tuesday's except... Last Tuesday, I was so grateful when the class ended what I thought was 15 minutes early. Today when it ended, I wasn't ready to stop. So, I just swam around for a bit and then the instructor asked if I'd like some pointers... You bet your really hot looking ass I would!
His name is Montrell, by the way, and Madeline (one of my classmates who is very nice) told me she's known him - there at the pool - since he was a skinny high school kid. Now he's a dad with two kids and not skinny.
The class is a jogging class. It is not a swimming class. I get in the water and my body says swim which is flat out, facing up or down. Montrell wants feet down, hips over ankles, shoulders over hips and head up. Always. No swimming. It's hard to remember. Madeline says she never learned to swim so she has no problems adjusting. I sure do.
But he showed me what he was looking for and I think I got it. Now I just need to remember it. They make you wear these floatation belts which I do not like. He suggested that I try ankle weights instead - they might be easier for me than the belt and they would work my core more. They had some at the pool last week but not at this pool.
Tomorrow I'm going to the Ballard pool and I'll see if they have some there I can try. A quick check of the internets revealed that they are not expensive.
I did not go to Costco after all, stopped at Grocery Outlet instead and got garbage bags and batteries which is really all I needed.
Now I'm going to kick back and maybe do some bear knitting.
