Mostly successful Saturday morning...
Sep. 24th, 2011 12:45 pmSo this morning, I could not get gmail on my laptop. And Google+ was crippled. And so I tried to fix. While in bed with my coffee and muffin. It refused to fix. And I happened to glance at the clock and 2 hours had gone by. It was 8 and my class - a whole lotta miles NW of here started at 8:30.
I slammed into my swimsuit while brushing my teeth and gathered all my stuff and hopped into the car and made it into the pool with exactly 0 minutes to spare. Whew.
Jackie teaches on Saturday mornings at the Meadowbrook Pool and she is very good. Very different from Mantrell (Mr. T/Th) but very good. It was a great class and she kept the music going so while I had a beat, I did 15 mins extra on my own.
Oh and I remembered to ask about the water bottle I left there last week. I got it back!
Then on to haircut. Last time I got a good cut at Rudy's Barbershop in Fremont and I would have loved to have gone back there to the same person but there is very little parking on a good day and today they are having Octoberfest (yeah, they have calendar issues). So I went to the Rudy's on Phinney Ridge and got right in and got a GREAT haircut!
For several years I have been carting around pictures of what I want. I've never gotten a cut close to the pictures. Today I learned the right words to get what I want... 'I want short and spikey and mainly age inappropriate.' She laughed and gave me exactly that! Nice. very nice.
Then on to breakfast. I went back to the Rusty Pelican only this time it wasn't great. The service was mediocre, there was a screaming 4 year old 3 tables over and the food wasn't good enough to make up for it. I will go back. It wasn't horrible.
And there was a drug store in the next block and I had a drug store list. Then on to the library to pick up my hold. and to Cash and Carry who were totally out of my Diet Dr. Pepper - grrrr. Then on to the bank to deposit the $40 refund from the car dealership (overcharge on the license) then home.
I did not get gas. I did not get Diet Dr. Pepper but the current supply of both is adequate for now.
I'm declaring victory.
I neglected to order my blood pressure medicine in time to replenish before it ran out. Denial is a bitch. If I have a stroke and die, that's why. ooops.
Oh and twice in the above travels, I found parking that was only big enough for my adorable car. Twice. I love that car.
