Turns out the free wireless access works fine in the lobby of this place - where they also lay out a fairly excellent buffet breakfast with newspapers - all free.  I'm a happy camper.  (fj, it took about 5 minutes for the P1000 to cause conversation. Out of the corner of my eye I caught some action acoss the room - it was a guy's wife telling him to come over and get the make and model number of this baby... he did, pencil in hand. It was funny.)

Mom sent an email before she went to bed last night.  I haven't heard from her this morning yet but I suspect she does not get up as early as she used to.

It's my favorite weather - hot and humid. :(  The good news is that I have the right clothes and I don't have to spend a lot of time outside.

I have a Wal-Mart list. I think I'll stop off at Mom's first to make sure she doesn't need anything and then go.  Wal-Mart is about a half a mile from her house.  And then it's Tivo time.  Think happy connection thoughts, please.

Best part for me is when you tell them how cheap it is. This is one of the few subnotebooks you do not pay a premium for.

44 and clear here. How I love driving into the rising sun? At least it will be dark when I go home tonight. I'm from a northern and often cloudy country, all this sun is just plain unnatural to me.
