Work is in a manageable place right now so I am free to think about other things for a bit. Nice mini-break.
I think today's swimming is going to be free lance. Me and my music player (with 128 bpm) and let's just see how much of jog class I can remember to fill up 45-60 minutes. And if I can manage it in the very slow lane of the pool. Hopefully it won't be crowded there. Yesterday's class kind of hit some sore spots. My toes get cramps in them and my elbows and knees weren't all that happy. I wonder if this every day ness is maybe taking it's toll. On my own, today, i can set the pace and maybe if I'm kind of easy, it will be better.
Then tomorrow morning I'll go to the regular Saturday jog class and test.
My blood pressure medicine finally arrived a couple of days ago. I had gone about 3 days without. I was scared to test it until last night. 118/73. This is a wrist cuff thing that I do not trust for accuracy but I do trust for relative nums and mostly I'm in the 130/88 range so I'm thinking the medicine has kicked back in. Next time I'm near a fire station, I think I'll pop in and have them check it just to be sure. The good doctor won't get his shot until next January.
I'm thinking of going out to dinner tonight. I'm thinking about going to Voila. It's been on my list for a while and maybe tonight's the night. Or maybe Catfish Corner or maybe Chinese.
I watched Anderson Cooper's show the other day about food. He's one of those people who does not care about food at all. I am the opposite of Anderson Cooper. I inherited it. My Mom used to say that she did not trust anyone who had not made their lunch and dinner plans for the day before they left the breakfast table. She could always trust me. (I'm having cold meatloaf sandwich for lunch.)
I am enjoying Anderson Cooper's show. It's still working out new show kinks and when he settles in, I'm not sure if I'll be over him or not but so far so good. He's had a couple of show subjects that didn't do it for me so I just deleted them but the ones that did work, worked pretty well. I record him, Ellen and will add Rosie to the mix when she starts up.on Monday. One of my daily technical podcasts just went to weekly, so there's room in the viewing schedule.
i have not found a lot of good in the new TV shows. I am very content, however, to have my old favorites back with new episodes. My TiVos are filling up with watching goodness.
