Swim report

susandennisIt was better than good. It was excellent. They have lanes set up for the deep end and they are clearly marked, Very Fast, Fast, Easy and Very Easy. The Very Easy is actually two lanes wide.
It was not crowded but there were a sufficient number of people so you had to kind of look out. I tried to stay by the wall out of the way but really nice lady told me that one of the other swimmers had had a heart attack at the pool a while back and so she really likes to 'own' the wall. So nice of her to tell me. I was worried that I was breaking some kind of swimming politeness rule but I figured if she was nice enough to tell me something like that, she'd surely set me straight on anything else so I quit worrying.
My music worked out nicely. Its beat kept me going. But, I think I had it set wrong. I kept hearing the same stuff. One really long song about Chris Rock saying not to fuck in the champagne room or something like that. I think I need to get out the manual. But the beat was excellent. And I remembered plenty of the jogging class stuff to keep me occupied and interested.
I had an interesting thought last night. Before swimming, if I had found out that I could take a pill to get stamina and exercise didn't matter, I would have happily given up the gym with zero regrets. If I found out today that there was such a pill and/or that exercise didn't matter, I would still keep going to pool every day. I just like how it feels. It's a great time.
