Soup with benefits

susandennisI am not a big soup person but when I have soup, it's most always Campbell Tomato. Not long ago Chef Anita made me homemade heritage tomato soup that was beautiful - two different colors swirled together. Alas, however, it did not taste like I think tomato soup should taste. Like Campbell's.
Today I'm having Campbell's Tomato soup for lunch with... Xrtra Cheddar Flavor Blasted goldfish. If my grandma was alive, it's how she would serve it only in a special bowl that had a cartoon character at the bottom.
It is delicious even in a plain bowl.
Class was good - Montrell really makes us work hard. I worked so hard, I was breathless - literally.
I woke up last night and couldn't breath comfortably. I figured it was because I was sleeping crunched up or something. But today, deep breathing is making me cough. It's happened before. I used to think it meant I was dying of COPD like my mother did but then it gets better and I don't die. So I'm guessing this time it will get better, too.
Sheri, the designer, implied I would hear from her before she left for NY today. I didn't. So I'm not really motivated to start work on the desk. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week.
I have not heard from the mortgage refinance in a while (8 days, actually) so I sent them a note this morning asking for an update.
One of the condos on the floor below me went on sale yesterday - the listing price is $379. The history shows that in 2003 the place sold for $479 and in 2005, it sold for $495! Holy crap. The people who paid $495 are the ones selling it now.
The building project in the parking lot across the street has oddly stopped. They had a good 4th of the lot fenced off and yesterday moved those fences back considerably so now all that fenced is their equipment but they did move in a construction trailer and put up big signs advertising the company doing the work. Very odd. So I dug out the email address of the guy who's name is on one of the flyers about the project and sent him a note 'from his nosy neighbor'. I got a great reply back last night about 10 pm signed 'sent from my iPad'. There's a delay but not critical - all is go and soon. As long as it's not stopped for good. Whew.
I am not a big Halloween person. I am a big Halloween candy person (perhaps that should be big because of Halloween candy person), but this year it's just not doing much for me. I hate the individually wrappedness of it all. That's too much work. I finally bought a big box of Dots. For me, we have no trick or treaters here... Trick or Treat!
