That baseball game last night turned out to be quite the deal. It was not only great fun to watch but a couple of threads on Google+ made it even more fun. Twitter, I'm sure, was a-buzz but without threads it turns out to be not a conversation but just random shouting. I'll bet by next year G+ will have amazing tools for making it even a more fun experience.

I was very disconnected from this year's Series. But, there is no way in hell I'm missing tonight's game. TiVo has been informed.

My COPD is better this morning. Last night my wheezing was so bad that the noise of it kept me awake - not entirely true but it did remind me of the accordion my ex-husband used to play (and that is, in no way, a good memory). I slapped on one of those breathe rite strips which always helps so much (1. why don't they just make noses that way to start with and 2. that sticky stuff really does a number on my skin but it is so worth it once in a while). I slept pretty good considering and this morning, no more wheezing. Plus this morning I can take a deep breath without coughing. So I'm pretty sure I will live. Weird how that comes and goes, tho.

I wonder what spending an hour a day in pool is doing to me. You'd think the humidity would be good but I'm not sure. I always notice, on the drive home, that the inside of my nose is so dry. Weird. My skin feels just as dry as it always does in Winter in most places but not all (the tops of my feet around my toes usually gets really really dry and now it's all dewy soft). My nose starts to bleed this time of year and so far, fingers crossed, it's held together perfectly.

My hair, on the other hand, feels like straw from the barn. I finally got some special chlorine removal shampoo yesterday so, hopefully, that will help.

I think I finally have the cats' feeding on a good system and rhythm. They both seem perky and happy and no one is throwing up. I give them about a half a cup of dry food and a small can of wet food every day. The dry is mostly in the morning and the wet at dinner time and then I give them a few kibbles of dry on my way to bed at night. My research says that they should have more wet but experience shows that these two have a limit to how much wet they will eat so that's what they get.

There is nothing really on the agenda today. I don't expect work is going to need me for anything but I'm here if they do, happily earning my standby fee.

Tomorrow, after my morning swim class and brunch, I'm going bra shopping. I've never in my life had a good one and so don't wear them but maybe it's time. Rosie O'Donnell had a whole thing about going from no bra to bra wearing that was kind of inspirational and she and I share the same shape so tomorrow I'm off to explore the world of boob housing. I'm really only going to Lane Bryant. If they are helpful and offer fitting, I'm in. If not, I tried.
