susandennisAmira, the cleaning wonder is here. The cats are hidden because they know, sooner or later, she'll fire up that horrible vacuum cleaner. She brought me a bean and pasta dish her husband made. She made me try it right then and while bean and pasta is way way down on my list of foods I would even consider eating, it wasn't too bad. I may just heat it up and eat it!! But, even more fun, she brought me a tuna salad sandwich won yummy looking bread with crunchy looking lettuce. All this and a clean house. Outstanding.

I was perusing through my G+/RSS feed and I see that Amazon is now in the lending library biz! Last month, the charge for my Prime membership hit my credit card and I thought 'fuck! I wanted to think about that carefully and maybe cancel. Oh well, next year.'
The reality is the Prime works out perfectly for me and for Amazon. I buy way more shit there than I would without it. If I come up on something I need and want, I will go to Amazon way before I'd even consider getting in the car and going to find it. And for sure, I'll order it from Amazon before another online anywhere. Of course, that's both because of the prime membership and because of Amazon's customer service.
The Prime service - besides expedited free shipping, also lets me stream movies and old TV shows for free but, honestly, I've never once found anything I wanted to stream from their very limited library.
And, really, the Kindle book lending library is not that big a deal. The public library has a better selection of Kindle books (although the process is a bit more cumbersome). And you are only allowed to borrow one Kindle book from Amazon a month. But, still, I love the idea and I borrowed my book for this month. I love keeping essays and short reads on there for just picking up and perusing from time to time.
I keep hoping I don't have to buy a Kindle Fire. I do not need another tablet. Or another gadget. But, I look and consider. Today, I double checked and the Fire is only a little bit larger than my Kindle but 3 times heavier. So that's an easy decision. Not doing it. If, when they come out, everyone says they are better than sliced bread, I'll revisit but for now I'm safe.
I have the Kindle with advertising and, honestly, I'm enjoying the advertising. I did not know, until it showed up on my screen saver the other day, that Seattle even had helicopter tours! And today I found out about a new (to me) cupcake place.
I like my little Kindle so much.

I cannot quit thinking about that movie I saw last night - Margin Call. It had a lot of fodder for conjuring on.

I'm not sure I feel any better today than yesterday. I am sure I feel no worse so at least there's that. When I'm not coughing, I actually feel ok but then a coughing fit hits and sweetjesusineedtobreaathe!
Swim class at noon but that's about all on my hit parade today which is fine by me.
