I'll be 56 years old in March. Whenever anyone learns my age, they nearly always act surpirsed. (It could actually be they are surprised that I offer up the info so easily, but I think it's really the number that gets them.)

Anyway, I used to have a friend who's Mother at 60 always looked like she was 30 and she whenever someone said something about it, she's say "Black don't crack..."

For some reason as I passed a mirror this morning, it occurred to me that fat people don't show their age that much either. Case in point: moi.

Well..... I'm five months ahead of you. It's not bad, I guess. I don't mind getting older. I'm a little chubby, too, and have almost no wrinkles. I think I'd trade, though. Just a few more wrinkles for a slim body and fewer health risks.

I wonder how my mother will respond when I tell her that instead of paying for all of the plastic surgery she has had (and will have in the future) that instead she can just gain some weight.

It seems that her rapid downfall began when she learned that her ex-husband (my dear ole dad) married a woman my age. Now, she can't seem to try and reverse the aging process fast enough.

You were probably smart to get divorced 20 years ago. It has kept you looking young.

When I was younger people assumed that I was older. The weight aged me. Now that I'm a little older, people are assuming that I am younger than I am, so I know exactly what you mean.
