Reaping the benefits
Dec. 6th, 2004 12:01 pmI really was sorry to see Ken Jennings finally lose. It had to be and it was fine but I do miss him. He is my favorite Morman ever - and even if there had been competition for the spot, he would have gotten it. I liked his smarts, I liked his humor, I liked his demeanor, I liked the way he interacted with other contestants, I liked the way he handled himself in interviews. I'm just a huge Ken Jennings fan.
And so I was tickled today to learn that Microsoft has snagged him for a Spokesman for Encarta (They probably would have gotten more points had they not gotten his name wrong in the URL... but, mistakes happen - I know this because I've made them myself on Microsoft.com and even today...NOTE: They have fixed it now. It was http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2004/dec04/12-06KenJenkins.asp)
I'm just glad that his winning is spawning more opportunity for him.
