Feeling Smug
Aug. 20th, 2002 07:11 pmI got Microsoft Money 2003. I figured this would be a good time to start fresh and really get things organized. So instead of using my old Money file, I'd start a new one. Well, the first snag I hit was the password for my American Express Credit Card. The account/pw info I use on the website is different than the one that Money needs (love American Express - can you say luddite??). I set the Money one eons ago and had no clue. My old Money file has the pw embedded so I can get goods from the account with it but couldn't set up the new one. Calling American Express about online issues is so incredibly painful.
But, I remembered a password revealer program I had years ago and googled for it. Found it but it said that it wouldn't work on Windows XP (or any NT based system). Sigh. Couldn't find one that worked so downloaded the first one. Fired up Money with the old file and VOILA! There's the password!! I know it is correct because I remember now what I was using at that time. I'm feeling very smug. Very seldom, but sometimes, I can outwit software.
