susandennisThe handyman came and fixed and charged me not nearly enough. He got the clothesline all installed and looking fine and working great. Then I showed him two other things that I'd like him to do sometime when he has time.
The bifold door to the washer dryer had been off it's spring for about 5 years. One time when Scott was in the unit I showed him and asked him how difficult the fix was and he allowed as how it was not fixable. So I had intended to trash the door and replace with a tension rod and curtain. But I thought I'd get Steve to give me a second opinion.
He looked at it and pulled a tool out of his pocked and fixed it in 2 minutes. If I had had spare breath, I would have done a happy dance right there.
So then I showed him the webcam which I had installed on a post above the kitchen cabinets. My installation was crafted out of clear packing tape. He hopped up there and had it installed nicely in 10 minutes.
He was here an hour and charged me $60 which I thought was not nearly enough. I paid him $80.
I am working on my Steve list of other things that I've needed one around here since for-freakin-ever!

Oh, the doctor's office just called. He wants to see me at 3:30, is that possible? You bet your ass it is.
I've been doing ok today - not great and I sound like shit - but at least I've been still and so able to breath and not coughing too much.
At least I do not and never have had a fever and my throat is fine. I sure hope he has a good fix this time. I was getting a little worried that I hadn't heard anything but I should have known the cute doctor would not let me down.
Note to self: don't forget to shower and put on fresh clothes before you go!
I always shower and wash my hair when I get out of the pool. So I've gotten in the habit, when I'm not going anywhere or seeing anybody of putting on yesterday's clothes in the morning. Then, before I leave for the pool, I put on my swimsuit and fresh clothes. It's kind of bass ackwards but it works.
But, here I sit down in day and a half old clothes (since no swimming yesterday)... I'm sure the doctor would not be impressed. Reminds of me when we were little, we used to get all gussied up in our Sunday School clothes for trips to the doctor.
Ok, enough ramble. I need to get back to work.
