This week has really been a mess. I feel like for every couple of steps forward, I get shoved backward.

After more than a year of begging and pleading (well, really suggesting and hinting), I finally got agreement to take the flash stuff off the corporate website. It really doesn't do much and causes me no end of pain - especially when we need a small tweak here or there. The good news is that changes and maintenance will be every so much more easy. The bad news is that now I have to redo every single page... Oh well.

We have a new corporate logo. This means every single thing in the whole world needs to be changed. I get to do all this, too.

And my manager is still threatening to take more than a weekend of maternity leave. Her mother is coming to help out after she gets out of the hospital so why can't she just leave the baby with Mom and come on in to work and rescue me?? Everytime I mention this idea to her she just laughs. Frankly, I think I should have been consulted about this whole baby thing in the beginning..

I would probably give up my half day off tomorrow if I didn't have an appointment with the manicurist. But, heck, I sure can't give that up!

Boy, you must be hard up to be pushing a new mother to get back to work immediately. It isn't always a cinch just recovering from giving birth, and many moms do breastfeed, which requires quite a bit of equipment and planning to do it right. Even without this, new moms need to spend time with their newbies, and deserve that time. Work isn't everything, Susan! As you know.

Or maybe you were joking??

You GO girl!

Hey women in far away places simply squat on the side of the road, pop the kid out and continue with work in the fields.

She is probably not interested in that story though.

And Margaret I suppose you would have them breast feed in the office at the water cooler? Or at the conference table?
