Plans frozen?

susandennisToday we got ice... I'm looking for two holes in the ice today: the pool and the new router. I'm watching the webcams at 23rd and Jackson. Already they are showing less ice on the road than an hour ago. My class isn't until noon. I'm very hopeful that I'll be able to get there.

That red x is about 2 blocks from my house. If I can make it up that hill, I can make it to the pool.
The tracking page for the new router says it is being 'redelivered' today - like they even tried yesterday. But, what.ev.er. As long as it gets here before this one gives out completely. I'm a little concerned about getting it all set up but I've done it before and I can do it again, hopefully. The user manual seems pretty darned thorough.
This one has the capability for a guest SSID. I'd like to hide my SSID but my phone won't attach to a hidden SSID so I'm thinking of creating one for it and hiding the rest. Maybe. I go back and forth on set up schemes. Mainly, first off, I want a workable wireless network and a wired one that does not need constant rebooting.
The parking lot outside my living room window looks like it is a sheet of ice. It is usually filled by now and there are only a handful of vehicles in it and you can tell by the snow, most were there yesterday.
And the airport is pretty much stalled - they have one runway they are trying to get open.
Now we have freezing rain and sleet. So I may need to dial back my expectations. Oh well. I'm warm, I'm dry, I have food and electricity and my 'office' is less than a foot from here.
