It's a soggy day - my Mom would call it a soaker... Not hard and fast rain but way more than mist and steady... The kind that fills the evening news with flood reports. But, it's not cold and it's cleaning out the black snow.

I stopped at Luna Park Cafe for breakfast and it was fabulous. But it did get off to a slow start. I walked in and waited to be greeted and seated. Everyone was very busy so I just stood there patiently. I moved out of the way when a couple with a baby came in. They were greeted immediately and offered a table. WTF???? Invisible AGAIN!

The greeter recovered fairly quickly and asked me if I had come in before the couple. Ah. Yep. Then she tried to stick me with the counter (the place has a lot of not very comfortable counter seating) but when I asked for a table, she was fine with that. Once I was seated all was great. The service was nice and snappy. The breakfast was phenomenal (why have I not been back there in years??). The coffee flowed like the rain outside. It's a diner kind of place decorated in the 50's. The jukebox played nothing before 1964 and nothing after 1967. My sweet spot. It was fun and delicious and just good. I will be going back and soon.

Fresh from that victory, I went on to the Farmer's Market to find the biscuit guy. The Market was so so wet and lonely. It was sad but the biscuit guy (actually guys) were there and so cute. They moved here not long ago from Raleigh. Their biscuits look amazing. I bought $35 worth! They even gave me an extra cause I had exact changed.

Then two tables down I was attacked by some amazing looking cream horn pastries so I had to get a couple of those. And then I was done. I puttered on home. (I love love love my car and love it even more today since it has no warning lights telling me it has issues.)

I changed the sheets on the bed and emptied the dirty clothes hamper into the washing machine, stuck the biscuits in the freezer.

I just went through my bedroom closet looking for a turtle neck to put on. I used to have a million of them. Apparently the Goodwill ran off with them all. If I'm alive next winter, I need to lay in a couple of new ones, I guess.
