This and that so far on Wednesday

I did hear from the Seattle Design Center in a very timely fashion. (Still not a peep from Designer #1.) The design center person sent me a very nice note and paired me up with Francie - sending me a bio and Francie's email. The bio is mega lame -"I specialize in the design of life enhancing environments". Spoon. Gag. But, it could just be that her focus is on design and not on marketing herself. And at least she has made an effort to put together something that can be emailed and she has an email address. It's a start. I sent my phone number as requested and now we'll wait.

I just read this morning that the Nip/Tuck creative team has signed up for two more seasons!!

I never had the least bit of interest in the Laci Peterson thing. I had even less interest in her husband's trial. And, yet, all the major networks seem to think that my very being hangs on anything and everything that Amber Frey has to say. It doesn't. I don't care. Really.

We had snow predicted for last night. We have snow predicted for later on today. How in godsgreenearth these weather people can keep going on TV every night with a straight face is just one of the wonders of the modern world.

While I wait for baseball to get going, I'm reading Yao Ming's book about himself. I am as interested in basketball as I am in Amber Frey. I lived in North and South Carolina - I have done my time basketball-wise-speaking. But, a few months ago I heard Ming's interpreter on NPR talking about his dream job and thought it would be interesting to read about a really really tall Chinese guy playing in the NBA. And. So far. It is.

Amber Frey... hmm... making money by being associated in any way with the death of a pregnant woman and the almost full term baby impresses me almost as much as canibalism. I have not heard ten words about her and I don't intend to. I'm sure there are some old cultures that would have burned her at the stake with Peterson.
