Since we got to this point with my posting of the email I sent to her, I'll start to tell the tale of joy by posting the email I got just now:

Hi Susan,

As I was checking the hits on my website for the past week (a report that I receive), I came across the fact that one of the hits came from you. I was curious, so I clicked on the info which took me to your live journal. I couldn’t help but read some the information that you had posted. As a read, I came across your entry which was an e-mail to me. (I’ve pasted it below)

I never received the e-mail that you sent. I can’t explain why. I always respond to my e-mails within hours of receiving them and when I’m sitting in front of the computer, I respond even more quickly than that. I am very sorry that you thought that I didn’t care or was ignoring you. I actually care quite a lot and would love the opportunity to talk with you about your condo and what you’d like to do.

Will you give me a second chance?

I picked up the phone and called her immediately. She said everything I wanted to hear. She is embarrassed on behalf of designers everywhere. She is sharp and very very easy to talk to. I just have such a good feeling about her. She is going to be perfect for the job. I am so excited.

She was also apologetic about getting ready to leave town for a week. She's going to come over when she gets back and we're going to get started.

YAY!! Whatever you do, don't disconnect the webcams during the process! I, for one, want to watch - I'm betting it'll be better than While You Were Out and/or Trading Spaces!! I can hardly wait to see your face on "unveiling" day! Hmmmm, on second thought, guess you'll be there during the entire messy process . . ewwwww. If you need a couch to crash on during the painting/wall sanding/new carpet smell phases, you're welcome to head this way!
