More than a little disconcerting
Jan. 21st, 2005 03:49 pmSo I'm listening to All Things Considered on the way home - from Pennsylvania State University. Since it's a national show, I can tell where it's coming from only because of the station's call letters WPSU. Until I get off the bus and down about a half block - enough to know that it's too hot for my very light weight rain coat even with no sweater and only a light weight long sleeve t-shirt.
Then the local station breaks win with a weather report. Snow warnings in effect from 7 p.m. tonight until 7 p.m. tomorrow night. The station apparently serves three areas in middle Pennsylvania - one was as warm as 16 degrees today (and we're talking fahrenheit) the others were 11 and 6 degrees respectively.
Yikes - that's some cold nose buggers. I felt a little guilty even listening to their station in 65 degree weather.
