The Before

Sheri sent me her before pictures! And I loaded them all up and annotated the floor plan so it's a guide to each one. It does take a bit to load in because I wanted everything on one page but I set it to spawn a new browser window so you can continue reading your friends' page while it loads.

Ditto on all your suggestions but my biggest "to do" would be to put some color on those walls! You have too much white in that place, imho.

Oh yeah - color and lots of it! It's even worse in person. It's a very light taupe/white with 12 years of dirt and cigarette smoke accidented by the woodwork paint which was white and is now yellow with age. UGH.

Whaddya mean, no mugs???? Maybe not as many... But they are all places I've been to or my friends have been to. You'd toss out my Chuck and Di Commemorative Wedding Mug????? Isn't that against some Gay law??

And nope on the hardwood floors. I really don't like hardwood floors - not at my house. And I know I am the only person in the whole world that feels that way and I'm willing to live with that. (Plus, I have to have the written agreement of my downstairs neighbor AND permission from the condo association.)

But, the rest... Oh yeah - shortly after (if not with) this makeover, we're going with new appliances and maybe granite counters but I'm not totally sold on that yet.

Oooh I like that...I now have a better head picture of your place :) I love the stained glass window over the door, so pretty! I recognise your living room from the cam *g*

That "stained glass" is really a totally cool faux - Artscape - vinyl window covering.

In the Summer in the mornings the sun comes in that window and bakes the living room. I put that up there to keep cool and it works perfectly.

Oh wow, that stuff looks GREAT!
The bathroom window here is very old, very CLEAR glass. So old that people were shorter (think tiny suits of armor!) and nobody worried about who might peek in. Well, maybe not quite THAT old, but the place was built in the mid-50's. I'm sure they had pebbled glass back then, and I'm not sure why they didn't use it for the bathroom. I drive my grandmother nuts because I insist upon keeping big towels hanging over the shower rod to make SURE noone can see the "throne." I've been putting off going to Home Depot for window film and now I'm glad - $25 I can do :)

I would take a picture of the mugs, frame it, and throw the mugs away.

I am sure you will have lots of unsolicited opinions before this is over. What a fabulous space you have. I see great happy things in your future. Are you keeping the cams?

Now, photos of the mugs is not such a bad idea! Hmmmm And yes, for sure, on the cams.

I'm the sort who would keep the mugs for sentimental value, but I might do a picture of them and put them away in the cupboard. Then again, I might not - depends on the rest of the 'look' the space takes on.
