I usually don't need a reason to hole up in my house even on a Saturday but today I had a whole bunch of them. It's opening day of boating season and there is a giant crew race - those two things alone can hose up a whole section of town. Then, here, in my 'hood we had a soccer game across the street at 1 and the baseball game at 6. Plus the sun was out most of the day and no rain. So I stayed in and the rest of Seattle came out. Perfect.
So after breakfast, I brought my butt home and planted it. I toyed with the idea of going downtown (via bus or foot) and catching a movie, but, really, there's nothing playing I want to see. I really want to see the Marigold Hotel movie that apparently opened in the rest of the country on Friday but not here.
I'm hoping it comes next weekend and I can use it for my Mother's Day plans. Mother's Day is always a challenge because all the brunch spots are full up with lines. I usually don't remember it until too late but this year, I'm hoping to get ahead of the curve.
Mirror, Mirror is still playing here - it's listed as Sci-Fi in the Google movie times listing which cracks me up. I want to see it but not in a theater with small children so I'll hold off until the DVD.
I've had a lovely day but, alas, not very journal friendly. Mainly playing on the internets, knitting bears and watching TV. I'm still at it!
