good news/good news
May. 23rd, 2012 11:23 amThe patch is off and all is great!! Before the surgery, I could read only the first two lines of the eye chart. Now I can read all the way down to the second to last line!! The doctor said I may need to use reading glasses and she may be right. As I'm typing this, I realize it could be easier to read. No worries, I have plenty of reading glasses around.
Plus my eye is still dilated and a little swollen from the surgery so the sight should only get better. I go back in a week. I asked her about doing the other eye. She laughed and said 'let's talk next week' It's only 20/25 and, honestly, I would not have known there was a cataract there if she hadn't told me. So probably better to wait til next year or whenever it gets worse.
I just checked the TV and I can see the words on TiVo! There's a ballgame in 45 minutes, I can't wait to see the numbers. Yahooooo
Oh and she (the doctor) told me that if I wore goggles and didn't get my face wet, I could go back to the pool next week!
