What a long day
Feb. 9th, 2005 05:14 pmWork got all complicated and busy this afternoon and I almost missed my regular bus. I hauled ass and turned the corner to the stop about the time the bus was getting ready to pull away. The driver saw me and waited. I love that driver.
I stopped at the library and dropped off some and picked up my holds.
And now I'm home.
Mom is ailing. She has a muscle spasm that is very painful. She had one a couple of months ago and it took about a week to go away. She thinks this one is getting better but she's always so terminally optimistic about stuff it's hard to tell if she's telling the truth. She's confined to her bed. Fortunately, Polly is on the job. Whew.
I made up my web page of my furniture finds for Sheri.... http://www.susandennis.org/makeover/furniture.htm...
Now I am going to knit and watch TV.

Date: 2005-02-10 02:20 am (UTC)Re: The beds...All ankle-killers. You will knock, scrape, crack and otherwise savage your gams on those damn platforms. All except for the glass bed, which will fry you like an ant under a magnifying glass on the first sunrise.
Re: The chair...Add wheels and it's the chair that dragged Julie Christie around her house in "Demon Seed."
Personally, I love the clean lines of modern and retro-modern...But when things get a little too organic-looking...Bleah. I don't want it to look like I'm living inside some giant thing's gut.

Date: 2005-02-10 06:59 am (UTC)I know there are some things that *always* make me smile, no matter how long they've been around. If you think that bed will KEEP making you go "Amazing..." then I say GO FOR IT!
I for one can think of a zillion different ways you could make it up and all kinds of accessories that would go with. And that's not even counting the possibility of variations in the tile color(s.)
Amazing doesn't even begin to cover it :D
