A different Saturday
May. 26th, 2012 07:37 amFor months and months now (since last September, I think), I have suited up and headed across town to a great swim class that starts at 8:30 every Saturday morning. (The class is aqua jogging/exercise.) It's a great way to start Saturdays. The teacher is great and so is the class. It's fun and feels good. When I'm done, I go out to brunch and then do other Saturday things.
But not today. The post cataract surgery instructions include staying out of the pool for 3 weeks. The doctor said that if I wore goggles and didn't get my face wet (doable since the water work is all done vertically, I could probably go back in a week or so. The surgery was 4 days ago so going today would stretch it quite a bit. So... no pool today. Because I promised to help with neighborhood clean up next Saturday, it's going to be June 9 before I get back to my class. Sigh.
Today, I think I'll head south. I have a short list of things I want to do all of them around Renton which is about 15 minutes south of here. I'm having coffee now but I think I'll hold off breakfast until I hit the road.
I usually go out to brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and write up my experiences with photos for my brunch blog. http://brunchseattle.blogspot.com/ There's an IHOP near where I'm going and I have done an IHOP yet on the blog... maybe today.
It's a little too early to head out. I think I'll waste some more time piddling on the computer before I hit the shower.
