There is a place on my shoulder just where the neck joins on the left that is KILLING me! I'm pretty sure it's from the way I sit and compute at work and maybe at home. All I know is that it just hurts like a sonofabitch. Usually it kind of gets better over the weekends but today... the lifting, toting, moving, hauling that I've done today has made it feel pretty much like someone is driving a spike into the top of my shoulder.

So I am going to give it a rest just after I finish this entry.

I made the Goodwill run. The head guy said he could not believe I could cram so much stuff into my car. Oh and I should mention that the car started up right away with no battery problems. This is so nice of it.

I filled the cart twice for trips to the dumpster and it's half loaded now.

I do need to go through the house and put stuff tidy. It's going to be a long while, I think, before everything is moved out for painters and carpet people and even I can't live in this mess for that long. So I need to at least make nice piles. And I want to finish emptying out the furniture. Or rather consolidate the remaining crap so that scooping it up into boxes when it's time will be easy...

But, now. Right now. My big ole whupped ass is going to kiss the couch.

I get the same thing in my neck/shoulder. My massage therapist suggested some stretches because she said the muscle is pulled too tight and it's pulling my shoulder up and my head down and that is why it hurts so much. Sit in a chair, reach down with your left hand and grab the seat of the chair, with your right hand grab the top of your head close to your left ear and pull your head down towards your right shoulder. Then repeat with the other side. Do it gently. Then repeat on both sides but instead of grabbing the seat grab the back as far around as you can. It seems to have helped me.

What about your great table that lifts up and is so handy? You can't get one like it can you? Are you going to have a place to eat?

I think I really like her, but sorry about the great table. I guess smaller sleaker furniture will increase your space.

Have you contacted Better Homes and Gardens? I always wanted to know someone in there.

Is Sheri going up for any awards with this?

Oh, my neck does the same thing. I tried Aleve, was not impressed. I think aspirin helped more than anything. Aspirin, and sitting in the recliner watching TV.

I feel your pain...REALLY

Same thing kept me awake all f.ing night last night. Finally I remembered a cervical (the neck kind, heh) collar in the top of the bathroom cabinet...it *so* helped, enough for a few hours of sleep. My other suggestion would be a rice sock - moist heat, easy to target where the neck and shoulder meet, and you're probably more likely to have rice and a sock around than a collar? You can even compute while wearing a rice sock.
Also - www.sorenomore.com - this stuff is GREAT, especially for neck/shoulder stuff.
