We have a bulletin board in our garage. People put all kinds of stuff up there. One of my pet peeves is people who post notices that require me to remember details and give me no assist. And I hate the ones that give no info. "I'm selling my speakers - want 'em? Call xxx-xxxx" I'm a huge fan of tabs, but I'll take any help.
This morning there was a note from a woman who lives on the second floor. It was simple and clear. She was going out of town this weekend and needed a dog walker. She needed short walks Saturday and Sunday evenings and dinner fed and a longer walk Sunday morning. She was offering money BUT more importantly, cookies. And, she had folded over the paper and left her business cards with her phone number on it.
I grabbed one. I thought it would be fun to have someone to walk with. I meant to call her this morning and forgot. I called just now and the job is still open. She's going to call me on her way home tomorrow so I can meet her and do the Friday night walk/dinner with her. She's grateful and I'm looking forward to it.
