Red and ready

So today was also hair dying day... I always just grab the one that's on sale that comes as close to regular brown. Apparently, I was not paying good attention the other day. And, in my rush to fill the dumpsters, I tossed the box yesterday so I know it's L'Oreal but it sure looks red!!

It will be interesting to see how red it is in daylight. Oh well.

I did the dog walk for what will be the last time. The actual walking was fun. But, her initial note made no mention of the other chores she wanted done.... I found those when I got there in a note in the kitchen.

One dog, as it turns out, wears a maxi pad in the house. That was fun to change. Feed the dogs - where is the dog food??? I finally found it. They do NOT want to get into their cage and 'if they are reluctant, just put a dog biscuit in there and they will go right in' ... Apparently she did not cover that with them. Cover the bird cage - while the birds are on it??? And screaming at me???? I could not close all the blinds as she instructed unless I moved the 4 foot tall bird cage. No thanks.

I'm done. I gave it a shot. I don't have to do that again.

But, she did come through with the cookies and they are excellent so it's not all bad.

I stopped by Sherry and Lee's on the way home to see their new TV in action. It is pretty. The picture is nice but mine is as nice. And to be honest, I can't tell the difference between HGTV [doh! thanks, tbone... I mean HDTV!] and regular TV. I think I'd rather have a new dishwasher or new oven more.

Nice weekend. Next week baseball games start! Starting Thursday, I will get a Mariner game broadcast nearly every single day until October. Yahoo!!!

The pet thing sounds like a lot of trouble for some cookies. Those had better be great cookies!

And to be honest, I can't tell the difference between HGTV and regular TV. I think the acronym you are looking for is HDTV. HGTV is just a network. I don't know. If you see a program that was produced in HDTV and broadcast in HDTV, you can really appreciate the difference. Some programs are produced in the normal way and then "upconverted" to HD, and those don't look nearly as pretty. You would especially like live sporting events in HD. Want to count the hairs on Ichiro's face? Done. Speaking of which, I need to find out if any radio station out here is carrying Mariners games this summer. Last year, all we got was the Cubs for some dumb reason.

That is actually hilarious. While I was at Sherry and Lee's I said 'so do you get HGTV now?' They had been bitching about not getting it forever and with this new TV finally got digital cable. YES, they kept saying, we have HDTV - you are looking at it. No, I said, I'm looking at NBC - not HGTV. It went on forever.

But, you are right. What I saw last night was regular TV upconverted. I will go back when the Mariners are on TV and look for hairs on Ichiro's face. Thanks.

KIRO Radio is advertising podcasts on their website. I'm hoping that means some kind of digital streaming (to my Treo) of the Mariner games. But, I can't be sure... Yet.

I dyed my hair again on Friday ..I am off red and into purple now *g* It just looks dark until the sun hits it and them WOW!
