The rest of the day...

I stopped by the library and picked up one regular book and 3 books on CD and then ambled home. It was almost too warm, but not quite.

I got home and cleared furniture. The pieces in the front room are ready and the bedroom is nearly ready and while they are doing that, I'll get the books off these shelves in the living room. There aren't too many.

I'm keeping the bed, the sofa, the sofa table for sure. Maybe the desk. Maybe the table in the front room. Maybe the shelf by the sofa. And maybe the ottoman.

I'll either have to hire these dudes to come back later OR talk one of the worker guys who will be wandering through here that they really need to take some furniture home to the little woman... (make whatever gender substitutions you feel most comfortable with...)

I'm done for the day. The haulers won't be here until 9 so I'll have plenty of time in the morning to finish up.

I happened on a wonderful website today - it has beautiful furniture and a Very functional website with way more information than most. (I cannot tell you how tired I am of furniture websites that tell you nothing with sound and flash movies...)

Anyway... This one lets you put together a little wish list or shopping list or 'set this aside to think about later list' AND you can mail it - very easily WITH links and pictures! It's fabulous. And it has some really nice pieces.

This last table? WAY too expensive. It takes WAY too long to get but the 39" square version... I don't know... it's just so wonderful... Sheri is going to have to do some fast talkin' to talk me out of it.

i didn't know they made chairs colored like kitty puke. :) i think the orb and ottoman (in different colors) would be way cool ...

One note on the second to last coffee table. Glass tables + cats = constant cleaning. You will have little kitty paw prints on them every time you turn around. Been there, never again doing that. :-D

Really? I would have never thought of that. I don't have paw prints anywhere... was your cat an indoor/outdoor cat? Sheri's really big on the glass table - now you have me really worried.

I had a glass dining room table. Clear glass. And a day or two after you'd wipe it down, you'd see paw prints. :-) If it's something other than clear glass (i.e., the last one on your list there with the clouded glass) it shouldn't be a problem, but clear glass showed them like there was no tomorrow.
