It's a cool and gray Sunday morning. Most people around here will wake up bemoan that the sun is not out. Not I. No sun equals no heat. Love it.

The fabric place doesn't open until 11. I plan to be there when the doors open. There are closets on both sides of the bedroom and this morning when I work up those ugly old user-hateful doors were just mocking me... 'yeah, you may have figured out how to ditch us but it took you 10 years! neener neener'

My poor hosting company is still not back all the way and I fear that it never will be. So I signed up with another one. Now I will be doing the uploading that I did yesterday again today... At least it doesn't require heavy lifting.

I put the ashtrays away today. I had them washed and stacked near the sink since last week. But, today they are high in the cubbard. It's been a week. I now declare myself a non-smoker. I can't imagine taking it up again but if I do, it will have to be as a non-smoker - one who backslides. This is as opposed to a smoker who can't quit. Sleeping is a lot easier but the litter box really stinks now. Trade offs.

Congrats on being a quitter. I got deathly pneumonia in January, and ended up quitting while I was in the hospital and unconscious, so I didn't have any kind of withdrawals to survive. It's been 7 months for me now (plus 20 pounds, but we won't go into that, as I think hormones are also part of it). I still want to have a smoke, especially when I sit down at the computer with a cup o' coffee, but know I can't ever start again.

I have been remiss in commenting on your stopping smoking. Mostly because I smoke, too. Lately it has become such a stigma to be a smoker, that I kind of hate to lose one of my group. :) You know how much misery loves company and all that. But..if you've put the ashtrays away after a week, then God bless you.

I've smoked for thirty years and I smoke for all of the reasons you mentioned in an earlier post. I'm not ready to quit, if ever. And I still don't notice the litter box smell. hehe

Keep up the good work, Susan.
