It's still not light enough out yet to get see the full glory but all I can see from my terrace is white. I can see it in the street light coming down steadily.

So it looks like all the preparation and cancellations were not in vein. I'm sure a lot of people are relieved.

And it looks like my new router will not be getting here today. Last night the wireless started getting very flaky. I could not keep it going for more than 10 minutes. This morning it seems a bit better but who knows how long that will last. Everything I use a lot of has an ethernet cable I can plug in if necessary but wireless is so much more better. At least when it works.

Oh well, I'll make it til Thursday.

I have the TV on to watch the snow news but I had to mute it because the audio is just too stupid - it hurts my brain to hear 'journalists' being so stupid. I just looked up to see the camera turned on a laptop screen trying to show a twitter feed. Ok, flipping the channel now.

The best news is window news. I finally saw enough of [livejournal.com profile] earthmother45's beautiful stained glass and contacted her about filling up my transom window with goodness.

Here's the window:

That's a plastic cling you see there now. The window faces east and in the summer the sun can come through in the morning and fry my living room. So I slapped up that plastic years ago. It will now come down and be replaced by artful glass.

[livejournal.com profile] earthmother45 posted the beginnings of the project yesterday in her journal. It's going to be so beautiful.

I'm loving this look, it will be so pretty to look at and then the reflections you will get through out the day inside will be great. I love stained glass projects, my father used to do a lot of it, so we had it all over our house in many different forms. I will enjoy watching this process..

My description of her home would be daring, fun and colorful, neat and organized. I think it matches her personality.

Too true!
